You’ll find car and horse parking, restrooms, water, and shelter at the trailhead.
For those who’d like a good workout, the 4-mile Sunrise Trail East climbs 1,150 feet to the top of Sunrise Peak where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Camelback , 4 Peaks Wilderness, Fountain Hills, Superstition Wilderness, and South Mountain.
